🛠️ Standing Strong with Labor & Working Families

As a proud member of the Boston Teachers Union for over 23 years and a lifelong Dorchester resident from a union family, I understand the transformative power of organized labor. My father, grandfather, uncles, and cousins have been members of Laborers Local 223 for more than 70 years, instilling in me the values of solidarity and hard work.

I am committed to:

  • Upholding prevailing wage standards: Ensuring that the City of Boston maintains its commitment to fair wages in all vendor and contractor agreements.
  • Expanding access to union careers: Promoting and supporting apprenticeship and training programs that open pathways for young Bostonians into the trades.
  • Advocating for labor protections: Working at the state and local levels to strengthen laws that safeguard union rights and support working families.

I believe that when union workers live, work, and raise their families in our neighborhoods, our entire city thrives. It's essential that Boston remains a place where union members feel valued and supported—not just in their workplaces but in their communities. Together, we can ensure that the city continues to be a stronghold for labor, where every worker has the opportunity to succeed and contribute to our shared prosperity.
