If you know me, you probably know I’m a big believer in showing up — and that belief has shaped how I’ve done this work since day one. Whether it’s sitting down in a local café, catching up with neighbors over a quick cup, or checking in with small business owners, I’ve always believed that the best way to serve Boston is to stay grounded in our communities.
This page is a place to highlight those everyday moments — the coffees, the conversations, and the connections I’ve made across every neighborhood in the city. From Roslindale to East Boston, from Mattapan to Allston-Brighton, I’ve made it a priority to meet people where they are — not just in City Hall, but in the places we all gather.
As someone who believes in accessible, responsive government, I know that meaningful change starts with listening — often one cup at a time.
As an At-Large City Councilor, I believe that real conversations start in real places — like your favorite neighborhood coffee shop.
Civic Sips is my new citywide engagement series, where I host pop-up office hours in coffee shops throughout Boston. These are casual, no-agenda meetups where you can ask questions, share feedback, and talk about what’s happening in your neighborhood.
